Background
Ottobock is a company that operates in the field of orthopedic technology. It is considered the world market leader in the field of prosthetics and one of the leading suppliers in orthotics, wheelchairs and exoskeletons.. 

The Challenge

Doctors and end users need one single platform to find appropriate products, product information and conditions informations
We will know that to be true when both type of users find the information and product they need in a simple and easy way on Ottobock platform

The Goal

An online platform that provide doctors and patients with all the information need for the condition to be treated and the fitting product for it. The platform needs to provide a seamless experience and deal with topics with the sensibility it requires.

User Center Design

Using Design Thinking methodology as a guideline during the project development helped to keep users needs in mind throughout the iterative process allowed to reach the best possible solution..

Team Scope

I've joined an ongoing team, when the requirements and user journeys where predefined and my main task was to work on the user experience from different aspects for the new website. Besides working on the user experience also supported the User Interface team when design and defining the company rebrand. As the project developed further and the team shaped itself for a better customer experience, I've became the main UX designer working side by side with UI designer and together with a development company to bring the website to life.

The new website is now live and we still working further with Ottobock to keep improving the overall user experience, for specific user journeys.

Wireframes for proof of concept
The whole project was done working very close to the client, all wireframes were created on Miro to better interactive discussions. 

Design & Implementation

Design
Final designs were made by a Senior UI designer, I supported design decisions and created designs when needed. All design worked was done on Sketch and Abstract.

Technical implementation
Concept documentation was done on Confluence and work directly with the development team, making technical decisions for a proper design implementation. Here working agile along with development and implementation company.

Desktop & Mobile
The project was developed with mobile first mentality to the best user experience either or mobile or desktop

Final thoughts 

The project is in constant development and improvement, the first milestones were met and the website relaunch is live. We continue to work with Ottobock to fine tune and continuously improve user experience.
